Wakasa-Obama’s Heshiko, a fermented mackerel, is simply made with “salt, rice bran, and hot pepper”. It has been fermented in rice bran for more than a year. The meat of mackerel is processed to a paste without losing the flavor of rice bran.
This Heshiko Puree has an exquisite seasoning with salt that goes very good with freshly cooked rice, pasta and salad.
